Transportation Planning and Studies

Traffic planning and studies are used to assess the adequacy or sufficiency of existing networks, facilities and/or areas to service current and projected transportation needs. In addition, they are used to estimate the time in the future when growth may overtake the capacity of the facility or perhaps reach levels of congestion below capacity that are considered undesirable. Understanding the operational characteristics and capacity of the facility is essential to properly plan solutions to transportation problems.
